KidFEST: Goat on a Boat presents The Marzipan Bunny

The Marzipan Bunny cannot wait to be the featured guest at the party, but Cake has other big ideas. Join this cartful of tasty treats as they explore the big world around them to find the power of inner strength and compromise.

For KidFEST, ALL guests over the age of 2 years are required to wear face coverings both indoors and outside, regardless of vaccination status. While children under the age of 12 are unable to be vaccinated, we ask adults to model the behavior that is expected of children. From decorative juggling sticks to pirate flags to triple-tier cake sculptures, our pre-show workshops get your child’s imagination ready for the show they are about to experience. Join us to explore, create, and learn together!

Each workshop is led and crafted in partnership with our neighbors at The Golden Eagle.

Join us for this workshop just prior to Goat on a Boat presents The Marzipan Bunny.

Appropriate for ages 4+
This is a family program. Parents/Guardians are expected to stay with their children.

KidFEST: The Jester Jim Show – Juggling, Beatboxing, Comedy!

“This is not your ordinary juggling show!” With a trunk full of props and a looping machine, Jester Jim takes the stage and starts his show.  Young and old will be glued to his every sound as he performs his amazing beatbox intro.  Kids and adults alike will be talking about Jester Jim’s wild antics for weeks!

THIS PROGRAM WILL NOW TAKE PLACE INDOORS IN THE JOHN DREW THEATER. Guests attending any INDOOR KidFEST program must wear a face covering regardless of vaccination status. Social distancing will be enforced.

KidFEST at CMEE: Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix

It’s a slapstick comedy dog show like no other. Johnny Peers leads over a dozen rescue dogs through challenging and hilarious tricks as he plays the straight man role in this wonderful family show.

Johnny and his Animal Planet Pet Star winners have appeared with Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus, on the David Letterman Show, Primetime Live, Circus of the Stars, and at Disneyland, Busch Gardens, the Big Apple Circus, the Royal Hanneford Circus, and even The White House!

Sit! Stay! Get ready to howl! Johnny Peers and his personality-plus canines are coming to tickle your funny bone!

Virtual KidFEST: The Amazing Max Part 2

Max Darwin (aka The Amazing Max) is based in NYC and performs his family magic show Off Broadway and on tour. Since Amazing Max is not currently performing in the theater, he has offered Guild Hall a second virtual magic lesson that can be enjoyed from your sofa! In one hour Max will teach your kids magic tricks using objects available right in your home.  (if you joined us for part 1 don’t worry – these are all new tricks!)  All you need is a pencil, quarter, nickel, dollar bill, and deck of cards. Magic experience not required! Following the lesson there will be time for a Q&A.

The session will be a private group on Zoom, so everyone will need to register in advance to participate. If you do not have a registered Zoom account, please be sure to sign up for one before the show begins.  A link will be sent to ticket holders in their confirmation emails, and 24 hours in advance of the performance.

Recommended for ages 6 & up.  For younger kids who would like to participate, an adult presence is recommended to help them with the tricks.  

Virtual KidFEST: The Amazing Max
