Academy of the Arts Benefit Dinner
Founded in 1986, the Guild Hall Academy of the Arts consists of more than 200 voting members, comprised of an impressive array of notable artists with ties to the Hamptons. Each year at the Academy Dinner, Guild Hall celebrates four honorees in the categories of Visual, Performing, and Literary Arts, and Leadership and Philanthropic Endeavors. This highly anticipated event, held annually in March in New York City, is a unique, intimate experience that includes performances and a personal look at the life and work of each honoree. Previous Guild Hall Academy honorees include Edward Albee, Lauren Bacall, Mel Brooks, E.L. Doctorow, Mary Heilmann, Joseph Heller, Nathan Lane, Dina Merrill, Sarah Jessica Parker, Susan Stroman, Steven Spielberg, Eli Wallach, and Kurt Vonnegut.

Guild Hall Summer Gala
The Guild Hall Summer Gala is the event of the Hamptons social season. Each year, more than 500 people join us for this lively fête. The evening starts with an exclusive preview of our August Museum exhibition which has included exhibitions of Richard Avedon, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Motherwell. Guests are then invited to a private location to enjoy a beautiful evening of cocktails, dinner, and a live auction. The night finishes with dessert and a packed dance floor. Past DJs include Questlove, DJ Kiss, Yung Jake, and Hannah Bronfman; former emcees: Alec Baldwin, Joy Behar, and April Gornik; and previous honorees: Bonnie Lautenberg, Michael and Ninah Lynne, Martha Stewart, and Neda Young.

Exhibition Preview at Guild Hall, Dinner and Dancing location to be announced

This annual benefit consists of lunch and an outstanding day of golf, followed by cocktails, dinner, and an array of prizes and awards. Participants have an opportunity to play a famed Hamptons course while supporting Guild Hall’s year-round programming.

Clothesline Art Sale
The Clothesline Art Sale has been one of the most beloved and affordable art traditions in the Hamptons area since its inception in 1946. Each year, more than 400 artists participate with their work, filling the walls and grounds of Guild Hall with paintings, drawings, and prints for sale. Thousands of art lovers attend looking for a masterpiece. Admission to the event is free; donations gratefully accepted.
Works range in price from $75–$2,200, with all proceeds split 50/50 between the artist and Guild Hall. Funds raised benefit Guild Hall’s year-round programming. The sale is made possible by a devoted group of community volunteers.
