The Perlman Music Program: Founded by Toby Perlman in 1994, The Perlman Music Program offers unparalleled musical training to young string players of rare and special talent. Each summer, gifted violinists, violists, and cellists (ages 12-18) from across the globe gather at its historic Shelter Island campus. Under a faculty led by violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman, students engage in an intensive curriculum of solo, chamber, orchestral, and choral performance. Alumni of The Perlman Music Program are the new leaders of classical music – shining as soloists, orchestral principals, and distinguished faculty worldwide.
