Anna-Lena Hamann

Anna-Lena Hamann, known to her friends as Leni, studied graphic and textile design. After an immersion in fashion design in Iceland she graduated with a master’s degree in textile engineering. Her focus was on marine litter of the world’s textile industry. She has worked in various companies that produce sustainable textiles. She taught women and children in art and textiles with an NGO in Peru.

Currently she leads an inclusive screen-printing workshop in Hamburg, Germany. With her expertise in knitting and sustainable textile production she also gives courses in upcycling. Her idea is to sensitize and inspire people for sustainable textile consumption. Conscious design is her most important motivator. Next to that she is a passionate knitter and produces her own crazy textile beauties based on the materials she randomly finds under the name @Verschmiertverkleckert on Instagram.
