Join New York-based writer, performer, and StraightioLab co-host George Civeris—whose debut special A Sense of Urgency was named among The New York Times’ Best Comedy of 2025—as he hosts an evening of stand-up featuring some of today’s funniest comedians.
Curated and emceed by Civeris, the lineup includes Liza Treyger, whose critically acclaimed debut hour Night Owl premiered on Netflix in 2025; Julia Shiplett, a Comedy Central Up Next comedian, TBS Comic to Watch, and Vulture Comedian You Should Know, with appearances on Overcompensating, High Maintenance, and Love Life; and Jake Cornell, a Brooklyn-based comedian, actor, and writer who has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, Joe’s Pub, and the Gramercy Theatre, with work featured in Vogue and The Washington Post.
Together, these four distinct comedic voices deliver an evening packed with fresh perspectives, unexpected turns, and laugh-out-loud moments. Expect sharp observations, surreal detours, big swings, and even bigger laughs as Civeris guides audiences through a showcase of standout New York comedy talent.
Rush Tickets: A limited number of $25 rush tickets will be on sale for this performance, starting 20 minutes before the program begins, in person only, subject to availability. Customers will be instructed to line up outside no earlier than 45 minutes before the start of the show in order to access rush tickets, which are max 2 per customer.
George Civeris
George Civeris is a NYC-based comedian and writer, and the co-host of the acclaimed podcast StraightioLab. His debut comedy special A SENSE OF URGENCY was included in The New York Times' roundup of the "Best Comedy of 2025." He was named one of the New Faces of Comedy by the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and most recently one of Vulture's "Comedians You Should and Will Know." StraightioLab was named the #1 comedy podcast of 2022 by New York Magazine, and one of the best podcasts of the year by Esquire, Glamour, Nylon, and Time. George has written for shows on Comedy Central, FOX, and the BBC, and spent two years as a senior editor at the reboot of Gawker. Before comedy he worked in tech, academia, and journalism. Jake Cornell
Jake Cornell is a standup comedian based in Brooklyn, New York who has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers online. After successful sold out shows at Joe’s Pub with his hour “Hey Big Guy,” he’s currently touring all over America hitting cities like Chicago, Dallas, New Orleans, Seattle, and LA. Most recently, Jake wrapped up his first ever U.K. tour with a sold-out show in London. Jake has been featured in The Cut, New York Magazine, and Vogue. You can find him on Instagram and Tiktok. Julia Shiplett
Julia Shiplett is a comedian, writer and actor based in NYC by way of Chicago. She was named a Comedy Central Up Next Comedian, a TBS Comic To Watch and a Vulture Comedian You Should Know. She has also appeared on TV series such as Love Life (HBO Max), High Maintenance(HBO), Crashing (HBO) and most recently Overcompensating (Prime).

Liza Treyger
Liza Treyger is a stand-up comic whose hour-long special for Netflix, NIGHT OWL, was released last year to critical acclaim. She recurs on A24/Netflix’s SURVIVAL OF THE THICKEST, which just released its 3rd season. Liza will next be seen in the Steve Pink's feature film WTF IS MY PASSWORD, as well as the independent features DAMNED IF YOU DO and REGULARS. Additionally, in film and television, she has appeared in Hallie Meyers-Shyer’s GOODRICH, Jordan Peele’s NOPE, the Judd Apatow movie, THE KING OF STATEN ISLAND, and HBO's PAUSE WITH SAM JAY.
