Stacey Abrams is a political leader, entrepreneur, and bestselling author. A tax attorney by training, she served as Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives and was the Democratic nominee for governor in 2018 and 2022. She has founded multiple nonprofit organizations focused on voting rights, civic engagement, and building a more equitable future across the South.
Abrams co‑founded NOWaccount Corp., serving as Senior Vice President, and helped launch Nourish, Inc., along with several other ventures. She also co‑founded Insomnia Consulting, specializing in development and investment for major infrastructure projects. In 2021, she and her business partner published Level Up, a guide for entrepreneurs. Earlier in her career, she served as Deputy City Attorney for Atlanta and as Special Tax Counsel at Sutherland.
Abrams is CEO of Sage Works Productions and was a producer of the Academy Award–shortlisted documentary All In: The Fight for Democracy. She is the author of Our Time Is Now, Lead from the Outside, two children’s books, political thrillers, and romantic suspense novels. A two‑time NAACP Image Award recipient, she serves on nonprofit and corporate boards and is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. A graduate of Spelman College, the LBJ School, and Yale Law School, she lives in Georgia.
