Special Events Intern
Guild Hall is seeking an energetic intern who is looking to gain hands-on experience in the Special Events field. Interns will assist with large-scale and high-profile events and auctions; research; and serving as an assistant on all arts fund-raising projects. We are looking for a capable, outgoing intern to help with all aspects of planning and executing fund-raising events for the museum and theater.
Duties Include: Assist with the following
• Coordinate vendors for events
• Plan the details of events (location, entertainment, catering)
• Confirm guest attendance
• Maintain RSVPs in database
• Order supplies for events
• Organize volunteers for art sale
Qualifications: Undergraduate and graduate students please apply. Preferred applicants will be self-motivated, and passionate about the art world with interest in events and with excellent communication skills. Arts Administration majors preferred, but not required.
Strong computer skills are required. Applicant must be proficient in MS Office and research engines. Applicant must be extremely organized and pay close attention to detail as it is crucial to the quick nature of special event planning. Discretion is valued.
Must be available at least 3 days per week and must be able to attend all events. Intern must have their own method of transportation and housing.
Hours: 15 per week
