The Student Film Project 2008 celebrates up-and-coming student filmmakers from the North and South Forks of Long Island. Films are screened by a committee of artists and film professionals and judged on the basis of artistic quality, demonstrated knowledge of the medium, cohesive artistic viewpoint, and appropriateness for diverse public audiences. Winning films are shown in the Boots Lamb Education Center of Guild Hall and on LTV, program sponsors of The Film Project. Awards provided by TRG President, Greg Appelhof.

WORD UP: A CELEBRATION OF MIDDLE SCHOOL POETRY
Renowned poets will visit 8th grade classes at the Montauk School and East Hampton Middle School to read from their works, to critique student poetry, and to introduce the idea of poetic creativity with students. Poetry workshops culminate in a live poetry event titled Word Up, which takes place in May.

EDUCATION

Family Programs and Public Programs are sponsored in part by grants from the Town of East Hampton, The New York State Council on the Arts and the Evan Frankel Foundation.

All students must be pre-registered and all classes are to be paid in full before the beginning of class. There is no partial or pro-rated payment for attending part of a course and there is no refund for sessions missed. Unfortunatly, we cannot take registration over the phone; registration must be made using the registration form or by visiting Guild Hall. Guild Hall reserves the right to limit enrollment in any course (with full refund) in case of insufficient enrollment.

No refunds will be made after registration. Materials lists will be sent to adult students upon reciept of registration. School and group tours of the museum are available upon request.
